An unexpected and unplanned fourth clutch, laid by our 2004 Amel Motley, Pebbles, is a whopping 3 eggs and those are of uncertain fertility. The total egg count was 13, with 2 slugs laid on 06/05/07 and the remaining 11 laid on 06/07/07. Of those last 11 laid, eight were obvious slug that were soon fed off to a couple of our kingsnakes as a treat while the 3 apparently good eggs were set into a deli-cup and placed into the incubator.
We have no idea who the father of the clutch is, or what the expected offspring will end up being if the 3 eggs should hatch, but we thought we'd give them a fair chance at hatching - though we are not holding our breaths that they will indeed hatch. We estimated the hatch date to be around August 10th of this year, and we'll certainly keep you posted as to the progress of the eggs.
Please note that there are, unfortunately, no pictures of Pebbles with her eggs due to our concern over her health at the time we removed her from her laying box. We have posted a picture of her that was taken shortly after checking for unlaid eggs and overall health - in addition to a weight check.
As of 08/01/07 all three eggs have gone bad.
Thank you,
